Yesterday freya and I took Joysie and Jake to the dog park. They ran arround and had a blast. We enjoyed the day walking through prater. Joy tends to listen to freya quize well! I wanted to take the lillyput bahn but freya said we should save the money. I think ill force her on it though befor she leaves. At about four oclock we went home to cook dinner. I locked myself out Of the appartme t, so freya and I tried cLling over joy to encourage her to jump up and open the door from inside. It was of no avail! Frau kati mirich had a key though, but we were not able to leave for about 45 minutes after aski g for a key. She was very happy to see freya. For about 90% of the time, she was i sulting me about raising my dog, my hairstyle...or lack their of, my passive personality, etc. Freya found it humerouse...however I did not. Had the roles been reversed, i probobly would have laughed as well! Finally we were able to get out, buy food at hofer and billa, and get back home. We cooked Hackfleisch mit bohnnen (chopped meat with green beans) AKA "jessi's meal. We think she inovated this meal from another recipe. Why do we think this you may wonder. Well, lets just start wih this. Normal recipes call for an average amout of tomato sauce. Jessi's recipe however, calls for a shitload of ketchup! While talking to eva on the phone and telling her the ingrediants, i couldnt help but laugh at the fact that she wasnt eager to join us for dinner. When she did finally make it back from work, she made a disgusted face, or what we like to call, a Kaka face! I dont think she liked it! By this time it was late at night, and freya and I did a boxing photoshoot! This turned into me taking pictures of freya with her bottle of absinth. I made she wave her
Hands in the air aswell as shake the bottle to get a blurred look on the camera. The
Color of the absinth is really great to take pictures with!
We barley saw leon today! We also took a peak at evas ACT Photoshoot!
We had a rough ride to Virginia, hitting traffic jams, construction and accidents in NJ, Maryland and VA. It took about 5 1/2 hours instead of the four we had hoped for. I was kind of hot and thirsty but OK because Mom directed the AC on me. She was really tired by the time we found the new living quarters of M&A. They have a nice apartment in a complex quite near the Potomac River. They have a big living room/dining room combo (but no table) and a tiny kitchen, a small bathroom and three bedrooms. I spent part of the time in our guestroom and part with Mireille and Allen, because Mireille like me to visit with her, especially while she's sleeping.
ReplyDeleteSaturday your father came over and the humans all went to their pool, which is very nice, although I only saw it from the outside (no dogs - stupid rule). Actually, there are three pools, a little baby wading pool, a large irregularly shaped pool with shallow and deep parts, and a diving board, and a lap pool with roped-off swimming lanes.
In the evening, the humans went to Old Town Alexandria, about 5 miles from the apartment. They had dinner and walked around the town a bit, including the waterfront. Mom says it was very crowded, being a weekend and a holiday as well. There were plenty of street musicians at the waterfront and they had a nice evening.
The next day we all went to Arlington. That was Sunday, and I got to stay home with Sparrow and Molly while the people went to the pool once again. The K of C pool was packed, even though Kearn said it wasn't as crowded as some weekends. Mom and Mireille had shopped for bbq stuff and they made a fire on one of the grills near the pool. Just as they finished cooking, but still hadn't eaten all the food, it started to thunder and lightning. The lifeguards cleared the pool and everyone rushed into the bar (or went home). The sky turned very dark and it started pouring, as the thunder crashed loudly (Sparrow and I got pretty scared back at home.) They brought their food into the bar and were sitting there having a beer when tree branches started falling and a big tree cracked in half and came down on the pavillion where they had planned to cook their 4th of July bbq. The electricity went out - it was pretty wild, from what I hear. Mom says she'll try to post photos on facebook (but she hasn't eve posted her Paris photos yet, so we'll have to wait and see).
It was a pretty exciting day, I guess, but we didn't get to see Kearn after that. Now we'll have to wait until Cape Charles.
Well, I hope you have a few more fun days with Freya, and I hope she doesn't cook Jessi's meal for us in CC! Love you - write more.
