Bernhardstahl - Sand Strand Wien
On Monday we went to Bernardstahl. The house was insanley overgrown, but Freya, Eva and I managed to get it looking better in a matter of hours. Freya onsessive compulssive weeding was a large contributor. She weeded non-stop untill teh job was done...and let me tell you, their were alot of weeds!!! Eva helped the least and spent a fair amount of time down by our neighbors house (Martin) drinking coffee. I dont blame her though, older people shouldnt have to do the hard labor! We found many a snails and even played with them! They really are cute! We now have a coloney of five toads living in our garden. They are adorable! Anyway, we saw the old Buresch outside and he said out front garden looks overgrown like in Africa! Jake escaped and ran away from us. Freya and I chased him down the block. We later went down to the lake and he once again ran away...this time almost illegally crossing the border into the Czech Republic!!! Freya and I trapped him in a little side street he had gone into and caught him their. Hes a little rascale. their is lots more we did today, but Leon and Eva are nagging me to give them the laptop, so i have to cut it shorter and leave out much detail and facts. Ill try to add them later though!
The next day was not very well planned. We were on our way to Bernhardstahl when Eva got a call from her boss. We were half way their, but had to turn arround becasue of her work. We never made it their, but in the evening, Freya and I went to the Donauinsel and ate at a Greek resteraunt, and then went to the Sand Strant (sandý Beach) in austria. We had a nice time. Freya had a couple alchoholic beverages and made me take photos of her in the subway acting wierd...but thats freya!!!

Meeting Gerd
Today Freya, Eva, Leon and I went into an exhibit entitled ''Colours of South Africa''. It was somewat interesting. We sat in a large ornate old building whith the lighted dimmed and listened as an african women told folk tales from her town. One was how thunder and lightning came to be. Thunder was the mother sheep, and lightning was the lamb who always caused trouble by catching things on fire. That is why thunder always follows lightning (the mother sheep always yells at the lamb when it causes trouble). We listened for a while and made our way through the exhibit. While their, we met up with Tante Romana and Tante Ressi (omas older sister...shesa very nice old woman). After the exhibit, we all sat at an imbisstand and had some beveraged and snacks. Gerd, Evas new boyfriend of the past year, came to join us. I like to call him GERD which stands for (Gastroesophageal reflux disease) which is practically what he inflicts on me. Lets just say I dont like him. hes 20 years older than Eva, which I just find scarey! It started raining, so we made our way into the nearest museum (the childrens museum). Tons of people were their also taking coverage from the rain. We were all sitting talking (Eva, Romana, Ressi, Freya, and I) when we noticed Gerd taking pictures of us from afar. Hes a photographer/artist. He wasnt taking it in a regular fashion though. He was holding the camera at the level of his belt...a peerfect perspective if wanting to catch pictures looking up people nostrils. very cleaver. Oh yeah, Tante Ressi wanted to see a sand sculpture, which we went too. It was awsome. Very creative indeed!
The day befor Eva and I had gone to a lake in the near vescinity to Gerasdorf. It was beautiful weather, sadley we didnt have out bathingsuits with us. I dipped my feet in the water, and waided up to my ankles. It didnt take long befor I had the brilliant idea of throwing jake in the water to see how he liked it. He plopped in and swollowed a gulp af water and started coughing. Luckily it wasnt harmed though. I dint think ill be throwing jake in the water any more!

Freya Arrives in Austria
Freya arrives on Saturday evening at Schwechart Airport from Dulles Airport with a stop in Paris. When she arrived, Leon, Eva, and I greeted her. They ad lost her luggage in Paris (the same thing whih happened last time she was in Paris), so we went to the lost luggage counter. After talking for a while, Eva convinced them to give us 100 Euros because Kearn (the childs father) is an American Lawer who will sue Austrian Airlines for a lot of money if they didnt hand over anything. Well, that made us all happy! We left the airport and headed home. Freya took her antibiotics that evening, and barfed a few times, and hopefully didnt infect any of us whith Bronchitis.

Donau Insel Fest 2011
On friday night, the day befor Freya arrived, Eva and I went to the Donauinselfest 2011 for a short while. This is one of the largest outdoor music festivals in europe! I had seen weeks befor that Train was going to be performing that night, so we made our way over to the propper stage (their are hundereds of stages, small and big on, around the entire island). We left 40 minutes early inorder to make it their on time (calculating metro time, walking time, etc into the equation). Little did I know that the Island is HUGE and when crouded with millions of people can take three hours to get to the other side. It started to look as though we would never arrive for the concert on time, when we descovered a little pathway that runs right allong the water ar a lower level as the other paths (the island is slightly elevated, like a hill). Not so many people were their, so we were able to walk quickly and make it to the concert on time (we did however miss the first few songs). We walk up to the outside stage and the music seems strange. It was like a mild form of heavy metal! We listened, and after a minutes I said to Eva ''You know, I have a fealing this isnt Train!'' Turns out we had gone to the wrong stage. We made out way down the island again. It was a very nice evening, though the weather was not the best. It rained befor and after the show, but luckily, the gods were on our side and didnt let the rain fall while the performance was going on. Train sang ''Hey Soul Sister'', ''Calling all Angels'', ''Drops of Jupiter'', and several of their other best hits. Too bad freya didnt come a day earlier!

Lunar Eclipse - Veterinary School
So over this past weekend, Eva and I decided to take a tour of Vienna on the ''Red Bus City Tours''. I remember reading an article back in the US which said all people should take a tour of their own city...youd be supprised at how much you learn! This tour was luckilyvery inexpensive, only 14 euros per person for 1.5 hours. Thats very cheap for a tourist bus. It started raining, so the driver had to raise the roof covers so we wouldnt get wet, but after about a half hour the weather cleared up. Their were on and off rain showers all day, but it was nice none the less. We also stopped at the butterfly house, but it was so humid and hot in their we only stayed for about 10 minutes!
A couple nights ago, Eva and Leon jumped up in the early hours of the moring because a giant insect had made its way into their sleeping area! Both were histerical, I figured I didnt have to get out of bed, after all, its just a harmless insect. Thats when eva cried out...''AAAAHHHH, theirs a deadly animal in our room! Stay away, dont let it sting you'' Her and Leon went into te other room to sleep, and wen I came over, becasue i didnt want to be stung, she yelled at me to get out and go into the other room (the one with the dangerouse stinging animal)! It very comforting to know that my mother and brother go into the ''Safe'' room, and when I try to go inside, im shoo´ed away! Apparently she doesnt give a shit if im stung or not. few minutes later, She resorted to catching it and trowing it out the window. I thought it had been a hornet of something of that nature...an animale that really chases its prey...maybe a wasp. But no, it was neither of these. I later found out that it was a little bumblebee that had curled up in the corner of the room trying to escape. Eva sure is a Drama Queen!
So, Eva and I visit a floural shop. I hadnt had water all morning, and I was getting quite dehydrated, after all, it is summer at the moment. So, Eva gets a call from her boyfriend of one year, Gerd. Whenever she talks with him, i always last a very long time. I dont dare interrupt because if I do, she gets very agressive and either yells at me to mind my own buisiness, or hits me...and yes, her slaps do hurt! So Im sitting their, slowley loosing my water supply, as she blabbs away on the telephone. Eventually, I asked the flourist if she had water that I could have. She nodded, went into the back, and brought me a big glass of cold water! I took a big gulp, and to my unexpected surprise, it tasted strangley like plants! I looked at the glass which looks suspiciously like a vase. Lets just say, I dont plan on asking a flourist for water in the near future!
On June 15th, Leon, Eva, and myself went up to kahlenberg by tis old castle...or armory...im not quite sure what is was, anyway, we went up their to looks at te Solar Eclipse! Its the longest one since 11 years, and it was a total lunar eclipse where the entire moon is dark\red. We went to the observitory area, which overlooked Vienna. Many people were their enjoying the big red full moon! It was a spectacular sight to see. It was dim but still visibale. People in northern europe such as germany didnt see it at all due to cloud coverage! I consider myself lucky to have seen it, after all, hd I been in America I would not have seen it either ecause it was not visibale on that side of the Earth. The moon is red by the way because the light from the sun bends and only the red rays reach the moon! Anyway, Hopefully Ill be able to experiance the Solar Eclipse in America on August of 2017! Thats even cooler than a Lunar Eclipse!
The only pictures of the moon that came out is when the light started being visibale again, but you can see that most of it is still red and only the side is lighted up.
A neighbor of ours, who comes from serbia I think, was outside talking to us a few days back. He sees an African woman walking past with her child. He turns to me and says, ''The sun sure is strong in Austria this year!''
So as you all Know, I was accepted to Veterinary School in Budapest, Hungarey. When we first drove into the city, we passed the train station to see a homeless man shitting infront of it. It was a very warm welcome indeed! Hopefully Ill get into the medical Program In slovakia! WISH ME LUCK EVERYONE!!!!!!!!
P.S. Libra, I finished the story on the post entitles ''The Opposite of My Wii Age'' Its the very last one on that post. (I may have already finished it in another post, but if not here it is again)
